A better alternative in education

In 1994, Blueprint Education partnered with school districts in the greater Phoenix area, and sparked a movement for innovative alternative education in Arizona. Our Kids at Hope Academies now serve 20 districts, 60 schools, and 100s of children in grades 4 to 12.

Hope-based, kid-approved.

Based on the Kids at Hope belief system, our academies employ innovative teaching and learning techniques to inspire, empower and transform students, families and communities.

Kids at Hope Academies provide a structured environment with firm standards; a behavior modification program with goal setting, checks and balances, and recognition; a basic curriculum that moves education forward; and a belief system that all children are capable of success—no exceptions.

Geared for student possibilities.

Our academies give hope to students at risk of tuning out or giving up. We offer a middle school model for 4th to 8th graders, and a high school model for 9th to 12th graders. Both can be offered within a structured setting on or off campus.

For the student, our academies provide an added opportunity for success in school. Our maximum class size is 18, with flexible instruction and learning level options.

We also create avenues for an anchor parent or caring adult to follow and support a student’s education. A parent study component shows parents how to plan structure, share responsibility at home, and become more involved in school-related activities.

Giving Hope to school districts.

Our Kids at Hope Academies allow school districts to join in a cooperative ownership for quality alternative education. We establish a contract with each student for goal setting and subject completion, then plan and check timelines, study and evaluative sessions weekly. We also send monthly progress reports to student, parent and school, so everyone stays on the same page.

Our academies offer an option to full expulsion, help separate the student from negative influences, and enforce attendance requirements, dress codes and behavior standards.
