This course will help students improve algebra skills by solving, graphing, and writing linear equations; solving and graphing linear inequalities; using matrices and determinants; solving and graphing quadratic equations; and learning about functions, powers, roots, and radicals. This course is competency-based, which means that students must pass an Independent Practice Quiz (IPQ) at the end of each lesson. If the Independent Practice Quiz (IPQ) is not passed, more study material is provided. There are three skill levels in this course. The Pre-Course Assessment will suggest which skill level best meets the student’s needs—the Review Level, the Basic Course Level, or the Extra Help Level. The student must have a basic understanding of arithmetic skills for this course.
