AMERICAN / ARIZONA HISTORY 2
American/Arizona History from 1877 to today will be covered in this course. You will have the opportunity to learn the history through reading and research of not only the textbook, but primary sources as well. Key topics that will be studied are: Industrialization, Immigration and Urbanization, the Gilded Age, the Progressive Era (including what makes Arizona’s Constitution Progressive), World War 1, the Roaring 20s, The Great Depression, The New Deal, World War 2, The Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, and the US today. The course consists of fifteen lessons, a midterm, and final exam. The student will also complete two a research assignment in this course (one on Arizona history).
