FRESHMAN ENGLISH 2 BASIC
This is a basic level course and requires counselor approval for enrollment!
This course is designed for freshman students who desire to improve their reading, writing, and grammar skills in order to meet English and literature competency requirements for graduation. The focus is on writing sentences, writing different kinds of sentences, and writing paragraphs. The scope and sequence of literature enhances reading comprehension, literar skills, vocabulary, process writing, critical thinking, and viewing. Students will read high-interest selections to improve comprehension and vocabulary as well as to demonstrate competencies in the essential skills for the second semester of freshman English. The Six-Trait writing Rubric is taught and utilized to assess writing assignments.
