MICROECONOMICS

This course requires students to master the principles of microeconomics and analyze economic problems. This study of microeconomics includes concepts of scarcity, price determination, organization and operation of business, labor markets, wage determination and government’s role in a market economy. Please note: In Macro and Consumer Economics students will examine macroeconomic and personal finance concepts. Macro and Consumer Economics requires the purchase of a different textbook than the one used in this course -- Microeconomics. If you need a semester credit of Economics only, please enroll in the Blueprint Education Economics course. If you need a full credit of Economics, please enroll in Microeconomics and then Macro and Consumer Economics. Aligned to Illinois state educational standards.
