This study of microeconomics includes concepts of scarcity, price determination, organization and operation of business, labor markets, wage determination and government’s role in a market economy. Please note: In Macro and Consumer Economics students will examine macroeconomic and personal finance concepts. Macro and Consumer Economics requires the purchase of a different textbook than the one used in this course -- Microeconomics. If you need a semester credit of Economics only, please enroll in the Blueprint Education Economics course. If you need a full credit of Economics, please enroll in Microeconomics and then Macro and Consumer Economics. Aligned to Illinois state educational standards.
