WORLD HISTORY / GEOGRAPHY 2 BASIC
This is a basic level course and requires counselor approval for enrollment!
In this course students will understand the cultural and political characteristics of major countries of the world, and similarities and differences between peoples throughout our world; location and basic geographic features of all continents; and major countries within each continent. Historically, the study includes the birth of democracy; the age of imperialism; nationalism and the spread of war and revolution; and the postwar world. Students will develop an ability to read and understand maps, tables, and globes. It is designed for the student who has skills below grade level in reading, writing, and/or vocabulary, with emphasis on vocabulary terms.
