What is the Honor Code?

Blueprint Education values integrity and accountability in the completion of all courses.  We expect all student lessons to be completed independently without cheating, plagiarizing or knowingly giving false information.

How to avoid an Honor Code Violation

  • When researching content related topics, collect the ideas and make notes in your own words.
  • Use your own words and ideas for all assignments unless specifically told to do otherwise in the assignment itself
  • Use quotation marks around any information that you copy word for word. Then be sure to site the source of the quote.
  • Do not copy and paste any piece of information from another source (book, website, encyclopedia, etc) without citing the source

How we determine if the Honor Code has been violated?
Our teachers use several methods of checking submitted assignments if they suspect an Honor Code violation. Blueprint Education follows a due process procedure when academic misconduct is reported. A copy of this policy is available upon request.

What happens if the Honor Code is violated?
The first instance of a reported Honor Code Violation results in a warning and required conference with the student’s parent(s). The re-submission of the assignment is also required.

If evidence of additional Honor Code violations are established after the first offense, students will be given a failing grade for the course and any refund will be forfeited.
