Professional Background:
I have been working with students for over twenty years. I started as a counselor in a residential treatment facility for five years in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after, I began my teaching career in the inner city of Chicago. I taught high school mathematics for seven years. I have been a high school administrator for the past ten years. I spent my first year as the administrator in charge of a night school in Chicago. I then moved to Arizona and served for three years as an Assistant Principal in Scottsdale. I also spent six years as an Assistant Principal in Gilbert. I earned my Masters of Education at De Paul University in Chicago, Illinois and I am currently working on my Doctorate with Walden University.
I have been married for seventeen years and have four children, ages 14, 11 and four year old twins. My wife has spent fifteen years in education as special education teacher at the elementary level. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf and sports.
