Location: Hope High School

Professional Background:
I attended both Grand Canyon University and University of Arizona with a major in education. I never pursued a full-time teaching career since I began my family immediately after getting married. I have a background in various substitute and temporary teaching positions. I began my career at Blueprint as a long-term substitute teacher for the 4th, 5th and 6th grade teacher at the Kids at Hope Southwest campus. The job was a perfect fit for me, and I grew to love the children and the staff. After completing the substituting period, I finished the remainder of the year job-sharing with the other paraprofessional at Kids at Hope. I transferred to Hope High School after working in the summer school session. I now have the privilege of working with another outstanding staff and group of kids!
Personal Life:
I’m originally from Tucson, but have lived in the Phoenix area for over 20 years now. I’ve been married for 21 years and my husband and I have six wonderful children—four boys and two girls ages four to 20. These are six of the reasons I only work part time at this stage in my life! If I had any spare time, I would spend it on the beach or traveling with my family. I may even read a book or two!

What draws you to Blueprint Education?
The people I work with are definitely the main reason I like Blueprint Education. It may sound cliché, but everyone I meet is friendly, positive and genuinely cares about children of all ages. I am confident that every employee at Blueprint truly believes that "all children are capable of success, no exceptions," and that attitude inspires me everyday!
