One of our charter schools is getting some much-needed improvements and space. It’s called Hope High School located in Southwest Phoenix at 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. Blueprint Education has operated this charter school since 2011. There was certainly a need for alternative educational options for high school students in that very location.

Fast forward to 2018 and the school has continued to grow its student population and the time has come for increasing our capacity to serve more students. With this change comes many exciting and wonderful opportunities. There is a lot of buzz about what this new space and renovation will look like and how it will eventually function once school begins in August. Lots of speculation and anticipation but we just won’t know the answers to these questions until it actually happens.

Change in life is very much the same way. Sometimes the road we are presently on meets up with a barrier or impediment along the way. What do we do? How do we decide what decision to make? Are we anticipating positive things or negative things? How do we deal with the unknowns? Many times our compass is pointing us straight to continue down a familiar path but that may not always be the best way to go. Sometimes the new path is very much staring us in the face and yet we still fail to see it clearly. Change is scary; change is unknown; change is unfamiliar. How do we learn to embrace change and to welcome its ambiguity and uncertainty as supports in building our new path?
